John Stoddard received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University in 1981. After working for Bechtel Power Corporation in Norwalk, California as a pipe stress/pipe support engineer on various nuclear power plants for 3 years, he joined Stoddard Construction Co. as a partner and oversaw all construction activity. During his 13 years at Stoddard Construction, he helped develop many apartment/condo communities across central California and in the Bay area.
He furthered his work experience with Walt Disney Imagineering for 10 years as a procurement and project manager having participated in many projects for Disneyland located in Southern California. He left Disney in 2006 for what was considered his dream job of Senior Project Manager for Temple and Major Projects (now Special Projects Department) for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During this time, he served as a project manager over 30 Temples projects; both for new construction and renovations. As Project Manager he oversaw the development of many Temple Projects from announcement through design, construction and dedication. He also over saw other major projects including the renovation of the Granite Mountain Records Vault, Kaysville Pasta Plant expansion plus various Welfare Facilities.
